CONTEST RULES

Please read these rules carefully. Feel free to ontact us if you have any questions or concerns!

All contestant band members must be under 21 years of age to enter. Registration must be filled out completely, to include contact information. Contestants under the age of 16 must have parental consent to participate.

Contestant bands will be scheduled on a specific Sunday evening from 4-7pm to perform live on stage at The Whiskey in Annapolis (directions). Contestants will compete against other local teen bands scheduled that night. Once you register, we will contact you to determine your availability.

Each band will get approximately 30 minutes to play. A sound technician will be on-site to help you set up. Backline equipment will be available for use as well (amps, drums, etc).

A panel of judges, who are representatives from local music and entertainment businesses, will select one band at each Sunday event night to move on to the finals.

Contestant bands will be judged based on factors such as: style, skill level (respective of age), originality, audience reaction, showmanship, and teamwork.

Finalists will then compete on August 15th and the winners will be chosen by a combination of audience vote and judges’ tallies.
